Naagi Iittlxagit Kkaaydanggans (House that Headmen Look at from Afar), Hlghagilda, 1881. This was one of the larger houses in the village and one of only three with sculpted figures on the corner posts. The mortuary pole at left holds the remains of the headman of Qquuna. The pole in the background, between the mortuary

pole and the house, is another housepole - all that remained in 1881 of the house next door to this one. Three years later, this house too was gone (see page 296).
